This is why we have chosen natural hemp as our main fibre for our signature grip socks and make a conscious decision when choosing our production, packaging, recycling and buisness partners.
Hemp:
Hemp fabric is a textile made of fibres of a very high-yielding crop in the cannabis sativa plant family. Historically used for industrial purposes, like rope and sails, hemp is known as one of the most versatile and durable natural fibres.
Hemp has 8x the tensile strength of other natural fibres making it the perfect choice for everyday use. The fabric on it’s own has a tendency to be rough to the touch, so we designed our hemp fabric with a blend of organic cotton and technical fibres for added softeness and sweat resistance. You get the durability of hemp with the soft feel of cotton you’d expect from your bed sheets and linens.
It’s important when buying sustainable fabrics to make sure the dyes and water used are managed properly to minimise the environmental impact. All of our products are made with non chemical dyes and controlled water management.

In addition to these benefits, our hemp fabric is machine washable and gets better over time. The more you use hemp fabric and wash it the more malleable and softer it will become. Our hemp fabric is already blended with organic cotton so it will become even softer. Although due to the PVC grips, we recommend not to place inside the dryer and rather airdry to maintain the grips strength.

Packaging:
For our packaging we use materials that are either reusable or has the least environmental imapact with less wastage.
For bulk orders we use recycled cardboard boxes and custom tissue paper by NOISSUE's Eco-Packaging Alliance. Our partners at NOISSUE plant a tree for every order. So far ONE PILLAR alone, has planted over 30 trees!
For individual orders we supply reusable zip bags made of recycled materials and recycled cardboard paper for thank you messages for the most eco-conscious packaging solutions.
Non sellable items:
For every non sellable yet, wearable item, we donate to a charity which best aligns with our values. This not only prevents the item from going to waste but also gives chance for another person to smile.
We are also partnered with UPPAREL who recycle any unwanted, used or damaged clothes for second life through our customers.
